Stocking Factory booth at christmasworld 2009Back from the christmasworld show which was held in Frankfurt, Germany in February 2009. This is THE SHOW for all Christmas oriented manufacturers and distributors if you want to expand and maintain your presence in European market.

We had a great show! We exhibited our velvet Christmas stockings wholesale which we make in our European design studio. Most interest came from United Kingdom, Italy and naturally: Germany. We also exhibited out line of custom logo christmas ornaments which were a huge hit as many other manufacturers and distributors thought that an ornament with their logo would be a great compliment to their existing product lines.

Naturally we also mingled with other Christmas stocking manufacturers and did some wholesale sourcing so we can bring our customers new Christmas stocking designs for 2009. We should be bringing those new inventories in early summer 2009. Some of our new items will be included in our 2009 wholesale Christmas stockings selection.

The cost of participating at the show (especially international) can get quite high : think thousands of dollars for booth space, air fare and hotel rooms. But we have used our inhouse talent to dress up the booth ourselves. We have a large format Summa printer inhouse. Using our graphics artist’s talent, we have designed eye catching graphics for the booth walls and printed them on vinyl. Then we simply rolled up the vinyl into a tube and our whole decoration booth fit into a poster tube. We knew you cannot permanently attach / nail anything to the walls at the exhibit hall, that’s why using white vinyl that sticky on the back side (think of the material they make bumper stickers from) was a way to go. When we got to the show, we peeled just about 1 foot worth of backing on the top and stuck the strips to the wall, leaving the rest of the backing on. We used 2 sided tape to tack on the strips and made sure they are aligned well. The end result was awesome (if you are on a budget). At the end of the show we have carefully peeled the wall vinyl off, used wax paper on the top sticky area and rolled our walls back up so they can be reused on our next show. We have decorated 20 feet of booth wall for under $750. Although we do not do booth graphics for living, our graphics and print artists are available from January through July, they get very busy during Christmas holiday season. So if you need help with your booth design and production let us know.
