I am looking for help in providing a gift and dinner for a Christmas party for the people of our town who work on their feet all day ie; restaurants and local taverns as a way of letting them know they are appreciated and cared about at this time of year and in these difficult economic times. Our church is sponsoring a Christmas Party and inviting the wait staff, cooks, etc., anyone who is on their feet during their shift as a thank you for all you do. Would love to provide a stocking filled with special items for each person to let them know they are appreciated. We are anticipating approximately 30 people to respond to our invite. That is a very noble act of you. I think this is a great idea, giving to others who may be less fortunate can make their day, week, month or even year. Those who receive donations like these are usually appreciative and this makes you feel good as the giver.

I am searching high and low on how to receive any type of assistance this holiday for myself and my two children aged 7 and 16! Not having any luck maybe I am too early but I know alot of families are much like myself, unemployed living on state unemployment and food stamps, and are going to be searching for help as well! I recently started attending my childhood church again and am praying for help for a good paying job again, but I am way too embarrassed to ask for any help from my church since I havent been there in years! ANY THING WOULD BE A BLESSING TO US< MY CHILDREN ARE LOVING AND APPRECIATIVE GOOD KIDS AND ITS REALLY HARD TO FIND A PLACE HAVE SOMETHING DONATED TO MY SIXTEEN YR OLD SON SINCE HE IS TOO OLD FOR TOYS. Please help!!! Thank you for your time!
